Emissions Inventories

Exceptional Events

The AQMD has formally requested the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to exclude data from exceptional events like wildfires from data that is used to determine mitigation strategies and air quality planning objectives. Exceptional events must be concurred with by the EPA in order to be excluded.

Oxygenated Fuels Reports

The AQMD implements an oxygenated fuels program to reduce wintertime carbon monoxide emissions from motor vehicles. The following annual reports summarize the results of the program.

Residential Wood Use Survey

Fireplaces, woodstoves, and pellet stoves are significant sources of wintertime air pollution in Washoe County. Periodic surveys are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of AQMD strategies targeting these sources.

Air Data

Air Data is the best way for the public, researchers, and governmental agencies to access our air quality from any state, local, or tribal air quality agency. Data is typically valid and certified by the middle of the current year for the year prior. This means that all 2018 data from all agencies will be certified by May 1, 2019.
